SO SOMETHING REALLY COOL HAPPENED.

Andy Price, one of the main artists for the IDW My Little Pony comics, does these really lovely sketches whenever he goes to a convention. (I happen to have one from way back in 2013 of filly Queen Chrysalis!) He posted this wonderful Princess Celestia sketch on his twitter, and I fell in love with it so much that I asked if I could digitally color it. And he said yes! But only if I show it to him.

I’ll let you guys know if he’s able to get back to me about seeing it, but for now I can share my hard work!
AND HOLY CANOLIES DID THIS TURN OUT GREAT!!! LOOK AT THOSE LINES!! I DID THAT!! ME!! I DREW THIS!!! LOOK HOW CUTE IT IS!!!!!!!
I’m so proud of myself for this!!! I mean, I had a great base to work with, but I’m still really proud of how great this turned out. I might even go back and make it more to my style with more painterly brushes, but I wanted to keep it simple to mimic the comic books. I think you can appreciate the linework more leaving it like this.
