Cinnamon Oatydus preferred to be called Oats.
Born in Manehattan but raised on a large island off the coast Abyssinia called Sanguine Rook with his aunt Autumn Flare while his father and siblings live in Equestria.
His father is Celestia's top philologist Bonemeal and for his mother, he doesn’t know much about her
Oat's conception was a bit of a scandal as Oats' father had him while he was married to another mare.

This causes his step-mother to have disdain toward the colt. Combined with his father's coldness it made an unhappy upbringing.
After getting expelled from Celestia's school of gifted ponies he was sent to live with his aunt.
Where he attended Firestone along with the child of one of his father's friends named Lotus Dew
Also with Bowed Kite, Thunder Bluegrass, and Autumn Bright.

They form a club until the school was shut down due to a mysterious fire.
As some of his friends return to Equestria; Oats became a hermit.
Now as an adult, he mostly travels. Making a living by translating griffon text to pony common as well as creating forgeries.
