Macha was strolling through town, going over his shopping list, when he heard somepony speak out. The voice was loud but cool, like the rush of water in a river. Looking over, he saw a mare speaking to a crowd. It was only when he drew closer, that he realized she was telling a story.
"-and the brave dragon unfurled his mighty wings, wings that blocked out the sun and sky and spoke into the air. His voice roared and raged through the towns ponies hearts, filling them with fear. 'Hear me, oh weak little ones, for I am lord of this mountain and intend to remain so.' The ponies trembled, fearful that they would be driven out from their homes or worse, devoured." The mare proclaimed, her voice entrancing all who listened. Many felt the fear of the towns ponies and felt the ground tremble with the mighty dragons voice. With every word, her story drew those who heard in, until the street was almost filled with her audience.
Macha too was drawn in, curious because he could swear that the masked mare speaking was Princess Skyla. But surely, he was mistaken. Skyla was, as Hazy described her, a miserable and hateful mare that never looked happy. She insulted and demeaned others. She was despised and with good reason.
Yet all Macha could see before his was a beautiful mare, smiling and laughing as she spun her tale. Her mane gleaming in the Moonlight and her wings spread out wide, as if to take flight. Her voice that crept into his heart and clenched it tight.

There are few who can sway Macha's heart but never would he have expected it to be Princess Skyla to do so. He knew about her ways, the things she said and did to others but listening to her tell her stories, he felt like he was seeing somepony else.
He fell in love with this story teller.
Skyla, despite hating ponies in general, loves to tell stories. The more who hear her, the happier she is. But she also dislikes being the center of attention, so when she goes out, she wears a mask. Many suspect her of being the infamous royal but they all soon dismiss the notion after seeing how jovial she is when spinning a tale. There was no way somepony as hateful and nasty as Princess Skyla could be the same as this mare that so joyfully tells stories to crowds. Sure, she never sticks around after she's done, but artists were like that sometimes.
