Shower of Diamonds

This drawing was inspired by my solo visit to Jewel Changi Airport on 13 August 2019, after the only lecture of that day (the first day of lectures of the semester at the National University of Singapore). There is a Pokémon Center (a real store) at Jewel, and immediately I drew an association between it and Diancie, the Jewel Pokémon (even though the mascots of said Pokémon Center are Lapras and Celebi). The HSBC Rain Vortex lies at the centre of Jewel, the world's largest indoor waterfall.

I had visited Jewel with my whole family just three days ago, but that was at night and we ate dinner at Shake Shack. The daytime scenery around the Rain Vortex felt more welcoming and natural.
