Lightning Dust is as skilled with a bow as her ego is big. This pegasus was once a forerunner to be a part of the elite Wonderbolts before her ego caused more than a few dangerous incidents among fellow wonderbolts in training put in her poor standing. She was discharged when it all came to a head putting untrained bystanders in harm's way. During her training she would often butt heads with teh Warrior of Darkness, Rainbow Dash. In Lightning’s eyes, there was no way the blue pegasus could be a Warrior who saves the world when she lacks the guts that someone like herself could only have. Her discharge made her finally realize that she wasn’t being gutsy, but reckless.

Her life after was bumbling from one job to the next. She would take on jobs for marks posted on whatever town she's in's bounty list. If an arrow piercing a tender point didn't bring down a monster, a kick at near supersonic speed would certainly do the trick. The bone fractures she would occasionally suffer barely made a dent in the rewards for the dangerous game she turned in. The only real thing that she would be careful about damaging is her current bow. After all, it's hard to show how skilled one is with broken equipment.

The Pegasus kept up her personal training, but Lightning became very self aware of what consequences her actions cause for others. Her belief in her own skill never faltered, however, and between jobs she knew that being a simple Hunter would be a waste of her time in the long run. Then a simple thought came to her. Why not be a Wonderbolt in spirit? If she couldn't cut it to be in their military, she could still be a warrior on her own terms. The pegasus turned her sights toward the wanted posters section of the bounty boards.

The Huntress was an instant success. Her honed ability made her career change a no brainer in retrospect. She turned in criminal after criminal with most of her injuries being strangely self sustained. Still, the gains she acquired from her hunts completely overshadowed any doctor bill her reckless fighting gave her. In her stomping grounds, she gained fame with her efficiency and self inflicted damage. Eventually, her accomplishments and history collided when she was approached by former Wonderbolt trainees. They too had their issues that ran against the Wonderbolt credo, but wanted to fight in a group like the Bolts do. It was here, in a town near Rainbow Falls, that the Washouts formed. The hunter has now moved on from simple bounty hunter to leader of a mercenary troupe. One that would often bump heads with a certain Warrior that Lightning has been trying to forget for years..



Washouts Protective Wear — This protective sports gear may not be the most appropriate for mitigating battle damage, but she’s commissioned it to maximize freedom of movement while staying dry when she’s under pressure. When asked why make armor like that, her response will always be to just not get hit.

The Wonderbow — A greatbow given to some wonderbolts in training if they have an aptitude for it. Lightning saw how destructive it is, and knew it was the bow for her. She was able tyo keep the bow issued to her, and has since modified it time and time again. It is almost impossible to tell that this bow originally began as a one issued by the Wonderbolts. The bolts fired off by this bow fly with incredible force and speed. She can even trade speed for even more force by using larger bolts, but the pegasus will choose speed over power any chance she gets.
