Being alone never feels like a good thing in an RPG. Even if the system isn't specifically designed for cooperation, having a few bodies between yourself and harm does wonders for one's sense of security.

DM: A few days ago, Princess Celestia announced that she was making an unofficial, casual visit to Ponyville.
Twilight Sparkle: Casual? Royalty?
DM: Exactly. She arrives tomorrow, and the townsfolk are busy with preparations.
Twilight Sparkle: Okay. I’d like to start by pointing out what happened last time she visited Ponyville.
Rainbow Dash: Hey, she can’t have THAT many estranged relatives.
Twilight Sparkle: I’m just saying…
DM: Well, while the rest of the ponies in Ponyville are running to and fro, our story – the story of tonight’s session – begins far away from that. It begins with Fluttershy, on the edge of the Everfree Forest.
Fluttershy: Oh! Um… Why just me?
DM: You’re not going to get ambushed, if that’s what you’re asking.
Fluttershy: T-Thanks?
