My headcanon is that Trouble Shoes is a drunkard, being obsessed with beer and sleeping with his bottles — all because he looks like a Clydesdale, and Clydesdales were the mascots of an alcoholic brand known as "Budweiser".
He is also accompanied by two equally-pathetic farm animals: Party Favor the sheepdog, and Gallus the rooster.
