Azure Glide wandered the back of his private villa, looking for his son, Iron Wingheart. It was during a party for one of Azure's fellow guards that he noticed his son left with a noticeable frown. After a couple of minutes flying around, he found him perched upon a small hill with the same look.

Confronting him, Azure asked his son what was bothering him, sensing his agitation stemmed from him being the child of two worlds. He assured his son that it wasn't something he had to fret about as he made a few friends in school and no one judged him on what he looked like. Yet, Azure sensed something else that bothered his son, something he felt a great amount of shame about.

When asked about it, Iron turned around and walked away before he was pulled back by his father's wings. With an expression that spelled concern with sincerity, Iron knew it was no use running from his problem any further. It was then that Iron revealed that he romantically preferred the company of stallions, coming out as gay. He began to cry as his father processed what he just heard. Despite all that, there was one constant that rang through Azure's mind.

Like his sister, when Iron was born, Azure made a vow that he would love his son no matter what, unconditionally. Part of that stemmed from his time as an orphan, living for nearly nine years in a place with others like him. He knew if he didn't follow through on that vow, Iron would end up like what he once was. That was something that tore at Azure and he didn't want to see that fate imparted upon his children.

With his hooves, Azure pulled Iron into a hug, allowing his son to cry on his shoulders. Rubbing his back, Azure assured him that everything would be alright as the crying began to die down. When asked why he accepts him, Azure told Iron about his past, reaffirming that vow he made when he was born. Feeling elated that he no longer had to hide who he was, Iron hugged his father with all the relieved joy he could muster. As Azure returned the hug, he said one thing to Iron, one thing his son would never forget:

"Remember, you're loved no matter what."
