Scootaloo was born to parents that were only teens when they got her, Scootaloo's father died on a late night patrol at the military and her mother died at childbirth as a result of her lover's death, being underage. Scootaloo was born premature and her wings didn't developed properly.
Scootaloo's legal guardian's are her aunt Holiday and Auntie Lofty. She grew up to be happy and safe.
She also got wing extensions, she made them herself actually as her talent is engineering.
