King of the Windigos and former patron of the wild Ever Free skies. Kwetin and his Windigos agreed to assist The Nightmare in her coup over Celestia. Promised a country of bitter angry ponies to feed off of, the starving spirits eagerly agreed to mount an assault on Canterlot. But before their forces could be mustered Nightmare Moon was defeated, and the arriving Windigo army found the ponies ready and waiting. Numbers dwindling, hungry, and demoralized, the ragtag group of survivors and their King fled to the far north. Where they hid deep in the low hanging clouds of the Mountain blizzards. There in his exile, King Kwetin began to nurse his wounds and a growing hate for Luna. When his forces had been called upon to strike an unsuspecting enemy with the assistance of an all powerful Alicorn. He was met instead with a ready force with no Nightmare Moon in sight. Clearly, this had been a trap.

This took far too long. I could not, for the life of me focus on this pic. I just kept getting distracted. Finally it's done. I think it turned out all right. Let me know what you think in the comments. Or if you see something that's a little off, tell me please.

I did a little research. Windigos are originally an Algonquian legend. And though these windigos bare very little resemblance to their origin, I thought it would be appropriate to give him a name that matched the culture he was from Kwetin (Kee-weh-tin) is Cree for, Blizzard or North Wind. Rather fitting I'd say.

I guess you call this guy a bit of an OC. Not really, but kinda. In the regard that I'll be using him in some other pics and comics later on. But he is no way a pony version of me. If you want to use him, go for it. Just let me know. He's juiced up with Lightning fyi, in addition to the usual cold breath thing that Windigos do.
