This scene gave me a certain amount of metaphysical difficulty, because of course Skywalker doesn't have her crown. But it occurred to me that it must still be possible to use limited magic even without a horn, otherwise Cadance would never have been able to become an alicorn (not to mention that Cookiecutter's shield power wouldn't work).
