When Aria was a filly, she had dreams about another pony named Pastel Leaf, and because of that, she became a character that Ari would draw in her works.

It wasn't until Aria was diagnosed with depression that she met Pastel for the first time. Of course, Pastel was only imaginary, so whenever Aria communicated with her, other ponies would think that she was talking to herself, in which she was labeled as "crazy." Of course, there was no way that Aria was.

Pastel Leaf often shows up whenever Ari is in a crisis, feels alone, going through troubles, etc., and even though Pastel is only an imaginary friend of Aria, she's always there for her no matter what.
