This is my contest entry for tsuki-to-hoshi 's contest to earn the privilege of her pony, Shooting Star as their pony's mate. I searched through all my ponies an none fit him better than my muse Soul Whisper. The task was to draw them on a date. Unfortunatly I am not the most romantic minded pony. I hope it is fine. I worked several weeks on it, and finished it just last night 7/25/13

The rules state that I need to give a few reasons why I believe they belong together, and so my reasons are as follows. XD

Shooting Star has the ability to see into other's hearts and knows who their special someponies are, but this incredible gift comes with a dark side. Because he can see everyone and knows when a mare isn't the one for him. Though he doesn't show it, that is a very lonely existence for anypony.

Soul Whisper has the ability to look into someone's soul and thus find what will give them inspiration for whatever task they may be working on whether that is art related or a romantic thought for their spouse. She bestows this with a single kiss to their cheek. Her gift also comes with a price. She spends a lot of time out of her own world and in Equestria giving inspiration to everyone, but because she is a muse no one can see her, feel her touch, or even hear her soft voice. A pony has even passed through her like she was a ghost on occasion. This leads her to have a very lonely life, her only company is that of her twin sister when they bump into one another, though these usually end in confrontation due to the fact her sister is the opposite of a muse, (if you ever had art block or writer's block you know what I mean lol ;) ) She has been alone for so long and I believe that with these two together they will find their soulmate in each other. Shooting Star will find the other piece of his heart, and Soul Whisper will find the other half of her soul.

Now upon finding this contest and seeing how well Soul Whisper and Shooting Star seemed to suit one another I got inspiration and wrote a short story starring the lovely couple. This isn't necessarily part of my entry, just a side gift, but because I was so inspired I had to write about their first meeting. And if I happen to win, which due to so many wonderful entries, I have my doubts, it can be totally revised and edited for a more official feel of their meeting. This will only happen if i win so that I may get any ideas :icontsuki-to-hoshi: may have on the occasion. Now before you go an read it know this: Shooting Star's personality is very Chirismatic, but though I try to show it a bit in my writing I mostly focused on how much sacrifice he has faced through the years and his lonelyness. If I got anything wrong or if you have any suggestions for him please tell me so I may fix it. :3
