Hello everyone,

inbetween school, work, commissions and more, I just had to finally draw something for my favourite pony and ship again. Finally…after months..and there needs to be more! gah XD I wanna create so much more digital fanart for Spitfire, Rainbow Dash or SpitDash in that case, I just don't have the time to get to it. Meh. Anyways, this is a piece I was able to work on here and there during school subjects that basically only require me to listen to the teacher's words.

I kinda liked the idea of Spitfire somehow being nervous around Rainbow Dash since she has a crush on her, but on the other hand she wants to make things happen and develop step by step so she slowly starts to takeaction and make Rainbow her own. In this piece we see the Captain of the Wonderbolts seductively luring Dash to follow her, giving her a smile while blushing herself. Is it a Wing boner Rainbow Dash shows us here…? This is up for debate for you ;)

I wanted to create a strong contrast in the image itself. Given by the characters' colour schemes, of course the main colours are yellow/orange tones and shades of blue, but I wanted to play around with bright and dark areas, so we have a darker background around RD, showing her "standing in the dark" while Spitfire is leading her into a "brighter" place or time. That makes Spitfire stand out, the viewer's focus is on the attractive pegasus mare that Rainbow might even be looking forward to spend some time with. She looks quite satisfied and smiles a little.

I definitely had fun with this drawing and I hope you can tell it's been a great time working with coloured pencils again on a drawing after quite some time Wanted to mix and blend in colours with different tones to make the piece more harmonic and interesting to look at.
