I have always wanted to draw my OCs family, starting with my OCs mother Lilac Seam.

Little story:
I don't have much of a story for her yet, but this is what I have so far:
Lilac Seam is a posh Saddle Arabian seamstress who works on dresses, making them and fixing them. She is a studious and hard working mare who doesn't stop until the task is done and everything meets her high standards of quality in order to make her customers happy. She mainly works with wedding and gala dresses. She moved to the Griffish isles to set up shop. A little while later, she got married and had Serene Tone, who follows in her hoof steps, right down to the scarf. Though a busy mare, she always has time for her son and enjoys having lunch with him.
Her cutie mark is a dress with a thread and needle going around it and a little star on the side.

Like the Serene OC picture, I tried out my new shading style with this picture as well as the simple background.
Might think of more of Serene's family and their story if interested, maybe put it as a journal, we shall see.

Fun fact, my own mother helped me with this OC's design, from the mane and tail to the colour and cutie mark, so I'm glad this OC has more of a personal touch to it
