Now that they have both retired from their royal duties, Celestia and Novo can fully catch up with each other and spend time together after so long.
I like to think that Novo retired sometime after the finale, and Skystar inherited the throne. She then went to Silver Shoals so she could be with Celie. There they wouldn't have to worry about being apart for too long and could do all the things they wanted to do together.
