Applejack woke up to find herself looming over the rolling landscape of Equestria, her flank level with Canterlot, and a tiny creature buzzing towards her face. As it came closer she realised it was Princess Celestia herself. Hesitantly Applejack offered an apology for her sudden growth, her voice reverberating all through Canterlot, explaining she didn't know what had happened.

As it turned out Celestia knew what happened. Perching herself on Applejack's pastern she explained all that she could, holding a few details back in case the giant reacted rather strongly; Rainbow Dash, despite Celestia's instructions, had taken flight and hovered behind one of the castle's towers, wishing to take swift action should Applejack accidentally flick the Princess off her foreleg. Meanwhile Twilight did her best to take thaumic measurements of Applejack's enlarged state to try and provide the statistics needed to weave the counter-spell.
