The morning sun rose from the eastern horizon, leaving a grey overcast hue as the sunlight attempted to break through but with no avail could not. The Equestrian Wasteland, cursed by the remnant of war and strife barren and empty. But for one place in particular stood strong and high among the barren landscape, even if it was a rackety old shack that could be toppled over at any minute. The occupants however were fast asleep as the overcast sunlight casted its light through the hobbled boards and planks upon a dirty bed with a large mare scarred and battered clinging to a Blue furred colt as if he were her prized posession.

As if like clockwork the clouds turned from a light grey to an eerie sickly green as the green energy discharges brought an air of danger. A radstorm, the most toxic of weather to plague the wasteland and its occupants. The mare felt her eyes furl open as the sudden crackle of green lightning softly split the sky, not disturbing her or the colt in her arms. With one final movement to come eye-to-eye with the colt she was holding, she couldn't help but smile as she was near the one she loved.

A simple shade commission piece commissioned by a friend on a Discord server who wanted to see their characters together in a Fallout Equestria theme. This was an amazing piece to work on since I decided to test run some Shadow lighting (i.e. light coming from behind a certain shape) while still retaining visibility.
