If you asked Celestia how Sunlight Harmony came about, you'd probably get an "I don't know" paired with a shrug. Neither Celestia nor Discord were really expecting another baby. Especially not a draconequus who was the new personification of chaos itself. The two parents simply woke up to a rather large egg wrapped up in some blankets by the fire. Discord chalked it up to chaos magic having a mind of its own, and although still deeply confused, Celestia agreed. Celestia spent hours in her library trying to research the care and incubation of a draconequus egg, while Discord's parental instinct kicked in naturally, and he curled himself around the egg for several days. When she hatched, Celestia insisted on naming her Sunlight Harmony, despite her blatantly chaotic appearance.

Even after the rather surprising conception, Discord and Celestia loved their newest addition deeply and enthusiastically integrated her into princess training with young Dissonance. Little Harmony thrived and displayed an incredible ability to control her magic. When Discord finally felt it was time, he gained the OK from Celestia to begin teaching her the ways of chaos. She's been learning from her father ever since. There proved to be a definite learning curve, however, with Harmony basking in the sunlight of royalty with her subjects, her vanity, and her obsession with being a most glamorous princess.

Harmony's personality naturally draws others towards her. She's outgoing, funny, charming, feminine, and loves attention.

Harmony loves making it rain strawberry milk (after providing ponies with umbrellas and glasses for collecting the rain, of course, she's considerate), catering to her subjects, and wearing flashy jewelry.
