Corporal Seed favored the reporter with a tired, distant stare that seemed to pierce right through the pegasus on its way over the horizon.

"Youse guys seriously came all the way out to the dragonlands to take a photo of some mare on guard duty?"

"Well, uhm…" Hot Scoop shifted awkwardly from hoof to hoof. 'Yes, obviously' was the answer that leaped to mind, but he could tell it would be received about as well as the original request.

"Well we just, uh… the Royal Enquirer wanted to show the ponies back home what our brave soldiers were doing on the front lines?"

Babs snorted derisively, blowing foul-smelling smoke through her nostrils as though she was one of the dragons she'd been sent out here to fight.

"Right. Well, good thing you found me, then, right? Go ahead then, camera-colt."

Not one to look a gift Saddle Arabian in the mouth, Scoop turned and quickly readied his camera.

"Alright! Uhm, did you want to… put out your cigarette? Maybe put your helmet back on?" Another breath. Another puff of smoke.

"Why? Just take the shot. I aint’ gonna be here all day.“

The camera clicked.

Goodness gracious, look at that signature, it says 2018.

For the longest I had the idea that Babs Seed would make for an excellent Royal Guard, or at the very least a good knight. I always thought a grown up Babs would be a stubby but sturdy build, so she'd make for an excellent knight and protector, as to also contrast with how she was a bully for that short period of time. So as a sort of collaboration/commission this idea came to fruition.

This piece took this long to upload as I was still organizing things on my flat at the time, thus the two years old signature on it. Oops. It happens!
