When the smoke is cleared, Grogar and his apprentice, Aurora Dawnlight, approached the small creature in a fetal position. The creature then slowly stirred, straighten its body, and raised its head, to face the duo.

Beneath Castle of Tambelon, Grogar and Aurora began an experiment of creating the first artificial draconequus. He only had an essences of a magic-wielding dragon, but not of an alicorn. From what he had learned, a natural-born draconequus was really a hybrid of a magic-wielding dragon and an alicorn, a god born out of two divine beings. Basically, Grogar was trying to create a god as his weapon.

His apprentice, Aurora, whom learned dark magic from Grogar, was assisting him in his research to create the ultimate monster. The greatest Grogar had created before was Typhon, a creature of unimaginable might and terror, used to destroy the alicorn race. The monster succumbed to its wounds after battling a draconequus that was defending the alicorns. Grogar was succeeded in destroying the alicorn's heavenly kingdom, but not without the loss of so many of his monsters. This story enticed Aurora to become Grogar's apprentice.

The Father of All Monsters became interested in the draconequus, so he sought to create his own. Though there was something about draconequus that really puzzled him. A magical dragon, dragon that have divine powers, like an alicorn, wields harmony magic. When his Typhon fought the draconequus, the strange hybrid was wielding chaos magic, unlike its parents. He wondered what could possibly cause the hybrid of two harmonic beings to wield a chaotic power?

Grogar studied what made an alicorn, an alicorn. He gathered all his knowledge to create an essence that mimicked an alicorn's. Aurora helped organizing and selecting essences used for the experiment. After months of preparing, they began the experiment.

In the underground laboratory, Aurora placed all the necessary ingredients on the table, all eighty of them. She then quickly trot beside Grogar. Grogar casts a powerful creation magic onto the essences. The ingredients began to glow brightly, that they shielded their eyes. They felt a powerful disturbance in the laboratory, the essences began to combine into a single object. It hovered in the air, violently shook as electrical fields emanate from its body. It shone so bright it lit up the whole room. Then a powerful blast occurred, pushing both Grogar and Aurora a bit back.

After the blinding light has died down, and the smoke cleared, the duo looked at the creature before them. Grogar approached it, followed by Aurora. The small creature, the size of a filly, awoke and stared at Grogar.

They both stared at the creature with wide eyes, this is nothing what Grogar had expected. With all the essence they used, they expected they might get something uglier, and bigger, and meaner. Instead, what they got is a creature that resembled more like an infant of a creature. Though it was not a creature they had seen before, as it had a right arm of a lion, a left claw of an eagle, a right leg of a lizard, a left leg of a goat, a tail of a dragon, and a head of a pony. They did expected a Phrankenstein monster when they mixed all the essence together, but this was much, much tamer than what Grogar had expected.

Was this what a draconequus infant should be? He never knew how a draconequus is really born. Perhaps this is the result they should be getting. The creature before was… adorable. Far from the monster Grogar was hoping he would get.

The creature yelp, while looking around. Perhaps it was calling for it's mother? Aurora asked, "Is this what we're suppose to be getting? Perhaps we got the ingredients wrong?"

"Even I am unsure of this. We were walking on an unknown road when we began the experiment. The only way we can be certain what we are doing is to continue," Grogar replied. They used a lot of precious essences when they created this… thing. Perhaps this creature really was a draconequus? Grogar would rather not waste more resources creating more.

He added, "Have the slaves attend the creature for its need. We have some more studying to do."

"Aren't you going to raise this baby yourself?" Aurora asked.

"Bah! I have more important things to do than to babysit!" he retorted. "When this creature is old enough, perhaps I will give him some attention." He never created a monster that resulted in an infant, so being a father isn't something that he's interested in. As an emperor, he had more important thing to attend to.

As Grogar looked closer at the infant, the creature touch the ram's muzzle, gesturing for attention. The ram slapped its arms away, not wanting the creature to have an affection for him. Its eyes began to water from its rejection. Grogar looked at the creature coldly, seeing weakness in it.

He walked away, heading for the exit. "Make sure to switch slaves nursing the creature every month. I don't want it to grow any form of affection to anything."

The unicorn nodded, understanding that Grogar wanted this creature to be treated for what it was, an experiment. Even she couldn't care less for the creature's feeling. She wanted to study under the emperor, not babysit. She looked at the creature, sobbing for a parent.

Grogar hoped that it won't take long to this baby into a monster.



Here's the first part of 'The Creation of Discord'! I couldn't stop thinking about Discord's origin in relation to Grogar, so I thought I amke a fanfic out of it. :D
