Previous Fluttershy (or Celestia) and Cosmos, the first couple to Discord was Baast, a cat from the ancient egypth, she appear for first time in MLP #24, an issue where we see Discord travelling for the time with the CMC.

I don't know why she never was used again in the comics because she actually can add more background to Discord, just think about it, she was the first love of Discord and i for what i see, she was an mortal like Fluttershy, so, maybe Discord can be redeem because he previosly know the friendship and love but for his inmortality, he saw she die for natural causes, making him an absurdist who don't find an real reason to the life, is just an absurd game…

That makes more sense to Discord that "I just want to hide the existence of my psychopath girlfriend, so i became evil" thing.

Well, in somepoint of the relationship, i thought that Discord gaves her the experience of his powers at least for one day like a birthday gift.
