So I may or may not have been binge watching videos on how to improve brushwork (totally NOT TEARING OUT MY HAIR IN FRUSTRATION OVER HERE) and decided to steal put some of photoshop's brushes into Manga Studio (photoshop doesn't work for my computer and I dunno why. Also, I hate it). I've been really irritated lately with how lacking my backgrounds — landscapes in particular — are in brushwork and composition, so I decided to just make a picture with no story attached. I love a good blue-yellow forest color palette, so I started out with that.
Basically the whole process was me making new brushes, finding out new settings I could play with in Manga Studio, and brainstorming fun stuff to do XD. It was originally much, much lighter and washed out than this, but I found the color correction tools and I. Am. In. Love. Struggled a bit with Fluttershy's anatomy, but eventually just gave up and stuck with what I had. Probably not the most artistically-learned decision, but definitely the one that kept me from getting antsy IP
Anyhoo, hope you guys like it! If you have any links to useful digital art videos, I'd love to see them!! I'm really trying to improve right now, and any help I can get is much appreciated.
