These two really love each other, even after their whole period of animosity. Chrys isn't as bubbly as she was before she got her heart broken, but the same pony who crushed her taught her to love again. The stone cold gaze and stern personality that she develops as the ruthless Changeling Queen don't ever quite leave, so she's still kind of a rock in terms of emotion. Cadence definitely does a lot of the work but she still adores her bug wife

They have one daughter together, Calypso. The white in Calypso's fur comes from Chrys's reformed design, which is pictured above

It took Chrysalis a long time to transform and become a healthy changeling. Thorax, in comparison, transformed basically overnight. In my verse, Chrysalis is the only changeling who has this dramatic of a design change. Thorax and the rest of the Changelings never become colorful moose bugs, they look the same other than shinier wings and obvious healthier bodies.

Shining Armor is still in the picture! The marriage between Chrysalis and Cadence was initially political, and for the first few months Chrys wasn't willing to even speak to Cadence. Eventually, the love horse grew on her, as Cadence does, and their marriage became genuine. Shining Armor definitely wasn't expecting… well, that, but he was more than okay with it. It took him some time to really get used to it, but he's happy for both of them. He and Chrysalis eventually make amends, and he still holds the title of King and continues to raise his two daughters, Flurry Heart and Love Letter.

Chrysalis is close to both Flurry and Love. Neither of the two really took it out on her for "ruining" the relationship between their parents, because they didn't. Shining is still Cadence's best friend, and they're still great parents even if they're not together anymore. Cadence was crazy excited to become part of the changeling family. She considers all changelings her children and some of them have looked past the "step-mom" aspect of it. Thorax calls her "Mom," and some changelings even come to Cadence for some motherly advice, since Chrys's motherly love consists of hissing and disappointed glares.

Shining Armor is close with Calypso. Caly, Flurry, and Love all basically grew up as siblings, running around the castle together. Flurry likes Love more, but Caly has a pretty odd obsession with Flurry Heart. Growing up, she wanted to be exactly like her, and Flurry found this pretty overwhelming at times. She shut Calypso out a lot because she couldn't handle her nagging. Love is just thankful she was never really bothered by her

Cadence's nickname for Chrysalis is just "Chrys," and Chrysalis calls her "Denza." Cadence introduced herself as Cadenza wayyyy back when they first met, which is where "Denza" got pulled out of

Also, the title is a reference to This Day Aria, the song that plays during Cadence's wedding episode! It's in like season 2, and these two episodes are probably my favorite in the whole show. The song is also my favorite out of all the MLP songs
