Alright so originally THIS was gonna be the birthday present I was gonna give xHalesx , but I decided to draw another one because I realised that this felt more Valentine’s Day-ish than a birthday present XD But I wanted to finish it anyway because we need more ship art of these two ;3;

This particular piece was inspired by a certain scene in Final Fantasy VII Remake, when Cloud first meets Aerith, she gifts him this yellow flower for free, and says the above dialogue. IDK, I just thought it was a really cute moment so I made this pictured based off of that.

And for a little bonus, I decided to write a little story on it (I’m really not that great of a writer so I apologise in advance lol):

Rosey Delicacy sighed and rested her cheek on her hoof, the window she was resting on vibrating a little. The Pony Express rattled on the tracks on its way to yet another train stop. Most of the scenery flew past in a green blur. The weather was lovely, it was the sunniest it had been in days, because the pegasus ponies had decided to make it rain for a majority of the week. To most ponies, the sight would have been beautiful, but for one little white mare it was just another sunny day. She was distracted, excited and nervous all at the same time. It had been three months since she’d last seen her beloved, Frozen Note.

Unfortunately, they lived very far apart from each other and spent most of the time sending letters to converse. It wasn’t ideal, but they made it work. Fro was a Kirin, and so he lived far away form her hometown in the Kirin mountains. They did visit each other, but not as often as they would like.

One day, Rosey got frustrated at the long distance, so she decided then and there that she would just move to the Kirin mountains herself to be with him. She had it all planned out, she would open up her own flower shop in the Kirin village and she would have a little cottage too, with a beautiful garden filled with the prettiest of flora.
She always loved where where Fro lived, it was a beautiful place and she had been wanting to move there for quite some time.

She had everything packed and sent to her new home in advance, slightly dreading the unpacking once she gets there but excited all the same. Thankfully, she would be staying with Frozen Note on her first night, since he knew the long journey would tire her out and he didn’t want her to deal with too much on the first day.

Rosey blushed at thinking of her love. He was always so sweet and caring towards her, always thinking of her first. His reaction when she told him of her decision to relocate was ecstatic. He couldn’t believe she was finally going to be near him all the time! Not just on visits!

Yes, Rosey Delicacy was more than happy to start her new life.

After the train stopped and Rosey got her suitcase, she walked through the village to get to Fro’s house on the outskirts.

As she trotted through the many stalls and shops, she caught a glimpse of her new flower shop. It was currently empty, but she began to imagine how lovely it will look when it’s finally set up.
Icy Willow, Frozen’s sister, said she would help out in painting the shop to make it look even prettier.

Energised at seeing her shop, the smiling white pony trotted even faster to her coltfriend’s home. She just couldn’t wait to finally see him!

Suddenly, she heard someone shout her name behind her. whipping around she saw the one pony she’d been looking for.

There he stood, an aqua coated Kirin with a jet black mane, the contrast showing off the cold blue streaks like he really had ice in his hair. He had the smile on his face that Rosey so dearly loved, and he was now quickly running towards her.

Rosey let go of her suitcase and ran her way towards him too, meeting him half way.

They ran into each other and hugged tightly before standing back and nuzzeling each other with their faces.

“Rosey! I’m so happy to finally see you!” Fro beamed while taking one of her hooves in his.

“I know, sweetie! I’m so happy to see you too! I’m so excited to finally be living here, especially with you!” Rosey blushed a little at his hoofholding, but was definitely more than happy to finally be with him again.

“Yeah! I can’t believe you really decided to come! I can’t wait to-” Fro suddenly stopped, “Oh! I almost forgot…”

Fro stood back dropped her hoof, much to Rosey’s annoyance. He then proceeded to light up his horn, using a levitation spell to fish something out of his thick mane.

“Here, this is for you.” He held out the object to her and she gasped slightly.

Enwrapped in Frozen’s icy blue aura was a small, yellow lily. It was gorgeous, and in the suns rays it looked almost like it was made of pure gold.

“Oh!” Rosey softly exclaimed, surprised by the gift.

Fro blushed pink a little and crossed his hooves in awkwardness.

“I- I know it’s not your favourite flower, which is, you know, a rose, but…. I thought it really fit the occasion…”

Rosey turned her chocolate brown eyes back to the Kirin’s cool blue in confusion.

“What do you mean?”

“Well… Lovers used to give these when they were reunited. I thought it was fitting… right?” He laughed little while gazing at her lovingly.

“Oh…!” Was all she could think to say as she stared at the beautiful flower. It wasn’t a rose, sure, but it was it just as pretty, even more so the sentiment behind it.

Blushing crimson, she thanked him for the gift. She was definitely going to enjoy her new life here if it meant being with him.

So yeah that’s the story. Ended up being a little longer than I anticipated, but oh well XD
