My first entry for BubaIuv 's DTA <3

Ok so, I've been meaning to introduce this ship in my gen for a while, but never quite figured out how to. Now that this chance popped up, I might have possibly finally have a design for their child :) I really hope I get her, Ijust spent a lot of thought into her character and consequentially a couple of slepless nights too lmfao

Background and Personality traits

- Rosie is the sweet, cheerful and airheaded daughter of Ponyville's school principal Cheerilee and caretaker Clear Skies. She is very helpful, extremely empathetic, caring and trustworthy to others, but she may be a little reckless, impulsive and irresponsible, leading her to make bad life decisions for herself ever so often. She's carefree and free-willed, with a little bit of a lack of common sense (perhaps too much). She's a good pony but makes (very) bad choices.

- Rosie is a total airhead and can be a bit of a scatterbrained mare. She has a child-ish innocent and simplistic way of thinking, which also makes her really naive and emotionally immature. She's a teenager but sort of still a child at heart.

- That being said, Rosie gets along very well with children, thus why she does great at helping out at the day care division. Some adults seem to think some of the little kids are hard to handle, but Rosie always seems to know just what to do (mostly because she always knows what they're thinking, probably because she's thinking the same). She adores the kids a lot, but is a little unsure she'd have one herself someday. She sees the kids at the daycare as her little friends or even siblings, but feels like having a child of her own would be too much for her to handle.

- Rosie has a fair ammount of vain in her, but often needs little effort to look pretty and attractive. She's natural at it~

- Rosie is very popular with the boys, mostly because of her silly personality that gets girls to assume she's supperficial and plays dumb to get attention from all the guys, which has earned her the hatred of many mares at school. (She's sorta like Karen from mean girls lol). Though no one would ever dare to lay a hoof on her unless they want School Principal Cherilee and Hoofball champion Wind Sprint after them.

- If there's a prize for rotten judgment, I'm sure Rosie has already won that. Rosie naive nature and immature and impulsive behaviour makes her very bad at handling her own romantic relationships, often rushing herself into them and breaking up really easily shortly after. This often leads to Rosie involving herself with bad guys, and eventually, unresolved affairs between her and her exes, who will somehow chase after her, dissatisfied with the situation.

- Rosie has bad habits of avoiding her own problems and neglecting responsibilities. She loves helping others and being useful, but rarely commits herself to something believing she will fail at it or become a disturbance to others around her.

- Very easily convinced into believing very stupid lies.

- Aside from her questionable life decisions, Rosie might sometimes say something wise (even tho she probably won't realize she said something smart) and gives good advice, but kinda sucks at following it herself.

- Rosie is definetely not the sharpest tool in the shed, but what makes it even harded for her is that she is dyslexic and has ADHD, which is why she has a hard time at school and considers herself to be dumb and stupid. Personally, she thinks there's just something wrong with her head. Since all of this was left undiagnosed for a long time, she has just somehow been able to get by at school by having her grades barely on the edge of average. It may have been a little inattentive of Cheerilee and Clear Skies to not have noticed that in her early years, specially after Cheerilee was nominated the principal and Clear Skies took the daycare. They were probably too busy to notice and have probably shrugged it off by considering Rosie was just not the intelectual type, but to be fair she might have cheated in her tests quite a few times to make it seem less worse. Sometimes she'll avoid reading the little kids a story because she's afraid she'll make a mistake or not even be able to read it, mostly out of anxiety and fear.

- Rosie is a hardcore party pony, not in the best of ways. Hangs out with the "cool" ponies from school and gets recklessly involved sexually with others, drinking, smoking. (read this part of her life as the song "Big Fun" from heathers lol)

-That being said, Rosie is no saint or virgin mary (rose mary lmfao). If someone out of her social circle asked she'd say she has never done any of that stuff. She seems like she's playing dumb and when you know her it does seem like she's speaking the truth. She looks so innocent and harmless no one would ever consider really. She denies it so naturally it does feel like it's never happened.

- She can also hold her liquour pretty well untill she actually becomes drunk, but once she reaches that state she becomes pretty much delusional and starts blubbering nonsense. Wind Sprint can no longer count how many times she caught her sister crying because she couldn't feel her tongue and thought she had lost it.

- Her headband was a gift from her mom Clear Skies, tho she wears it mostly at the day care or at home, since she's afraid of loosing it. (side note: Clear is great on multitasking as well as she has broad range of skills she acquired from her previous occupation back in manehatten. Among them, sewing is one of her favourites, and is the kind of mare that would knit scarves and sew handkerchiefs and other stuffs for her family and friends. She made a bunch of baby clothes for both Wind Sprint and Rosemary when they were born, as well as she made herself a "Wind Sprint 1# fan" shirt that she wears to every single one of Wind Sprint's hoofball matches, much to her dismay and absolute embarassment.)

- Her name was supposed to be a reference to how Cheerilee's name has "cheer" on it, that reflects on her cheerful and positive personality. The second half of her name which can be read sounding as "merry", reffers to her lively and cheerful personality. As well as a reference to her frequent partying and occasional abuse consumption of alcohol.

- Has joined the cheerleaders and happily cheers for her sister during hoofball games. Will probably scream Wind's name at the end of every presentation, untill a very embarassed and angry Wind Sprint glares at her.

- Rosie likes kids a lot, but is really unsure and perhaps even afraid of babies. They're tiny, and fragile, and delicate, and definetely seem like something Rosie could mess up and break. Kids are right around her corner, but babies are too dependable and seem too much of a responsibility to handle. Clear Skies has probably asked her to hold a baby while she looked for something when Rosie was briefly passing by the nursery, and she couldn't do anything besides sitting still, motionless and sweating, fearing something would happen to it. What if she was holding it too tight? What if it was too loose? What if it slipped right off her hooves and it fell?

- She's a crybaby

- talks in her sleep

- Probably believes the earth is flat, and you actually question yourself if she's being really serious about it when you talk to her. (ironical, since she's is the TEACHER'S daughter)

- I chose not to give her a specific talent just yet, bc to be honest, Rosie is still trying to figure it out herself :) If she actually had a cutie mark, she would probably be dwelling on what exactly it means or probably have mistaken it for something else.

- Lacks a whole ton of common sense, ocasionally blurts out one or another of her party nights' misdeeds or sex life quirks in a conversation, usually followed by "What? Isn't it something everyone does?"

Anyway, hope you liked what I came up with! I've been putting a lot of thought into building a character for her in the past days :) My overall idea for Rosie is that she was the techer's kid, but not one of the best examples to be followed at her life decisions. She's a good pony, but makes bad choices.
