Though her burgeoning eldritch nature and complicated relationship with surface dwellers lead Mari to prefer the shadowy quiet of the deep ocean, she does occasionally return to the place — and form — of her origin. It's been a few years, and the titanic hippogriff is delighted to find that she's grown even taller than Mount Aris. Enough show off a bit and flash the residents a cheeky, toothy grin.

Never mind the hoofprint she'll be leaving in the foothills there; it won't turn into a seething locus of otherworldly magic that tears at the very fabric of reality. Probably.
