Bio:
Cheryl Quartz Chimicanga Pie (better known as Cherry Chimicanga, C.C., or just Cherry. Or just Cher. She doesn't mind!) is Pinkamena Diane Pie's daughter with no earthly doubt. This gal has an unbridled enthusiasm for life and a fiery hot passion for food. C.C. is bubbly, chipper, and is just as friendly as her parents. She often chips in to help make her parents' parties as wild as she possibly can, and of course contributing her hoof into whipping up rather unique, but simply amazing dishes. She is the older twin of the Pie family, and is as close to her sister Confetti Cake as can be. The two are partners in crime and do almost everything together. However, whereas Connie's talent lies in cakes and desserts, Cherry's is a little more…interesting.
This pony is fascinated by food. How it looks, how it smells, and most importantly, how it tastes. Insanely creative (slight emphasis on insane), she has a knack for combining two foods that one would never think to combine into dishes that are a delight to the taste buds. Her parents initially wanted to name her Cherry Cheesecake for her dark pink coat, but her utterly-exhausted mama couldn't help but giggle and relay the "cherry-chimichanga" story, when she was demanding AJ to tell the truth. Cheese fell in love with the name. It wasn't until this filly was eleven that she set out to live up to her name.
Working her recipes like crazy, C.C. cooked for hours on end to find that perfect combination for her very real cherry chimicangas — sweet tortillas filled with cherries, rice, beans, and cheese. It took her some convincing to get her friends to try them, but as soon as a reluctant Jetstream took a bite, he scarfed down the treat and tried to take the rest. C.C. couldn't feel more proud as she watched her friends eagerly devour her creation. A flash of light filled the air, and the most perfect cutie mark appeared on her flank that day. You can imagine she was pretty excited about such.
Oh. It's important to note that Cherry is a fantastic dancer and can play a number of instruments (most notably the electric keyboard) but don't ever ask her to sing. Ever. Please.
Relationships:
C.C. is very close as any Pie could be. Her Mama Pie and Daddy Cheese spoil her rotten and their support never wavers. Cheese always insists on being taste-tester, to make sure its "not poisoned." Pinkie then insists its her turn. She loves helping her mama plan her various parties, always adding a little bit of that "Cherry Tang" to each one of them (like how she served pomegranate-jalapeno punch at Tempest Berrytwist's wedding).
She, her sister, and Chrysanthemum have formed their own little sisterhood and are nearly inseparable. She loves to scheme with Chryssi on exciting new recipes to try. She is always the first to try Chryssi's newest concoction, and while the farm mare is at times reluctant, is always delighted to try some of Cherry's creations (even the more interesting ones). Though small in stature like her mother, Cherry is also surprisingly strong like her too. If Chrysanthemum needs help on Sweet Apple Acres, Cherry is always willing to lend a helping hoof and keep spirits high.
She knows she gets on Jupiter and Ophelia's nerves. She thinks its utterly hilarious and that those ponies need to chill out once in awhile. Maybe Mel can give them some lessons. After all, its pretty freakin' obvious that he's head-over-hooves for the silver mare ("I mean, c'mon. My kitchen could be filled with smoke and I can still see that malarky.").
Cherry is also the current understudy of none other than Saffron Masala. She thinks of Saffron as almost a second mom and has known her since she was very young. Saffron, being a close friend of Pinkie, of course fell in love with the lagan mula that graced her restaurant. C.C. takes quite a bit of inspiration from the exotic mare and will spend hours with her, her nose filled with the spices surrounding her and her ears filled with the most amazing stories of New Delneigh and the food from within.
