For my shipping grid adoptables :)

A peach boi.

For this, I was asked to make a somewhat spoiled and stuck up stallion, with a long mane in a pony-tail. So I apparently read "a little spoiled and stuck up" and draw him with an angry expression and a sneer. I guess my mind just went to a Blueblood stereotype when I thought of stuck up princes =P

For the colors, I hada ton of pink to work with again, but also a lot of yellow and some purple. Possibly green, if we go back a generation. I tried a bunch of different combinations of these -for a while I tried to figure out how to make him pink with a more yellow/peach mane, since I thought havinghim be inverted of Fluttershy was fun. But nothing looked good, he just looked really sunburnt =P So just for fun, I tried to switch the colors around… and realised it was so much better. I split the pink of the mane up into some more hues, and added some purple, and thought it looked quite pretty. The eyes I made blue, to stand out against all the pink and peach and to tie back with Fluttershy's cyan eye-color.

I decided to make him a pegasus, since that's both what Fluttershy is and what Cadence was born as. It would also give me an excuse to add his mom's wing gradients. I gave him kinda big wings, because it can look both dramatic and silly depending on circumstance. I made his mane curly, because of course, and put it into a pony-tail, as requested. That just left the bangs and tail. I thought about different options, including just having it pulled back, but settled on this -since both Cadence and Fluttershy have long bangs covering part of their face, I thought it's be fun if he did too. For the tail I just went with "long", since it fit with Fluttershy's tail and his own long mane.

I also decided, after much internal debate, to give him a beard. Both Fluttershy's dad and brother has facial hair, so it appears to run in her family. I also thought it'd be a bit fun if his beard is patchy, so he can't grow it out properly without it runing his image, and is therefore stuck with either a shadow or dying his fur. That's up to the buyer though, no reason he can't grow a full glorious beard if that's your taste.

For the mark, I initially decided on a stylized monarch butterfly, since that's both tied to Fluttershy and is status as prince. But the orange looked bleh on the peach, so I took some creative liberties and made it blue. I also gave some wing trailing things, similar to a Luna moth's, but spiral. Since I'd already left accuracy, why not go all out and prettify it even more. However, since it now didn't read as a monarch butterfly anymore, and because it was looking a bit empty, I decided to add something more. I tried with various hearts and a crown, but decided on a stylized laurel wreath. We've seen evidence for their existance in mlp, as Dash wears one at the gala, and they're often read as or associated with victory and royalty. But they're also associated with nature more than say, a crown, wich fit well with a Fluttershy kid.

"Monarch" is a pretty obvious name, but I think it's both quite pretty and a bit vain, so I added it. Or, since Cadenza is italian, you could go with something like "Cavaliere" which google tells me means knight? Not sure if he'd actually be a knight, but it's be fun if Cadence and Fluttershy thought he'd be one. "Notus Flight" references Zephyr Breeze's name, as Notus is the south wind to Zephyr's west -south to fit his warm color-scheme. Or if you want to go more towards a 'normal' pony name, something like "Rosen Spring" is an option, as it sounds pretty and gentle enough to be something Fluttershy would pick, and references is color scheme. …I had a lot of name ideas for this on apparently.

Thank you, and I hope you are happy with him! :D
