Ravaillac is a reindeer adopted by Applejack and Fluttershy, who live in the Everfree with the whitetail deer (Applejack being a whitetail deer herself). The barrel around Rav's neck is full of elixir, which is a substance whitetail deer use for magic, and is tied to their culture. Rav wasn't born into the whitetail deer culture and wouldn't use elixir with the reindeer, so his proud walk here is due to his being proud to be part of his adopted family's culture!
