This was originally drawn for the 2022 Newbie Artist Training Grounds.
Day 14: Draw a pony doing something they love / Draw a pony picking up a new hobby.
This piece is kind of a twofer: following one prompt while encouraging the other at the same time. We’ve seen how Pipp loves to sing, and she’s got a beautiful singing voice, both when Sofia Carson voiced her in the movie and now when she’s being voiced by AJ Bridel. Conversely, we’ve heard Zipp admit that she doesn’t like karaoke, and we’ve never heard her sing her own song yet. I like to think that Zipp just isn’t comfortable singing in public, but she’s willing to meet Pipp halfway by singing when it’s just the two of them together, with no one around to hear them. They’re already a heartwarming pair of sisters in spite of their differences, so it would totally make sense in my mind. =)
