"As somepony who makes it her mission to preserve relics and remnants of the past, I have a lot of respect for folks who study archeology and hunt for hidden treasures. Daring Do would've been too obvious of a choice for Nightmare Night, as she's somepony everypony would wanna dress up as if they could. So I decided to dress up as another archeology buff, one from a much-loved video game that recently got a fantastic remaster: Goombella the Goomba from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

"Goombella's a gal I could hang out with easily. She's got plenty of sass to throw at folks who have it coming, and that brainy Tattle Log-ing noggin of hers means she'd get along great with Syntax, too. Unicorns don't normally need helmet lanterns when we have our horns to light the way, but I had a good pith helmet lying around. One of the harder parts was finding a shirt the right color that still fit me, even if there was no way it was covering this big belly of mine. I don't normally tease my mane to style it up, either, but I wanted to go for the full look by emulating Goombella's ponytail too. Syntax said I 'actually look like an adventurer now'. Psh, as if he looks like one in his normal duds."
