Well, here it is. The cover for my very first fanfiction, The Arcana Corruption. I hope you find it entertaining.

Concept and Creation
All the figures, except for the gradient in the background and headline, was made in MS Paint, so they are not as professional-looking as I want them to be. However, I have not been educated in other art programs, so this was the best I could manage.



Now, without spoiling the premise of The Arcana Corruption, I can tell that I used a combination of the 2D Style Guide artworks for Make Your Mark, Amy Mebberson's artstyle from the 2022 My Little Pony comic series, and CGI models from My Little Pony: Make Your Mark when designing Sunny/Opaline in this cover. Lastly, I used My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale as a reference to the colors of the characters and their outlines. Inspired by the common figure in the background of a cover, I also added Opaline's eyes and cutie mark in the background to emphasize the fire alicorn's overarching presence in the story. Lastly, I chose the gradient colors in the background because blue and purple are the colors of Opaline, again emphasizing her presence in the story.
