"Did someone say rough and tough?" came a voice from the doorway, "cause you must be talking about me."
"Hey Magma," Mangle greeted, "Check it out, Barius is gonna join our group of rough, tough, cool dudes!"
"Mostly rough and tough," Magma said strutting in, "Some of us could use a bit more toughening up." He looked at Snort to extenuate his point.
"Whats that supposed to mean?" Snort pouted.
"That youre round and soft," Magma teased.
"Well, round and soft is all right," Barius chimed in apologetically, "Not everything is about strength."
"Yeah!" Snort teased back in agreement.
"Hmph," Magma huffed, "It doesnt when youre in a fight. What are you gonna do? Bake an enemy one of your silly little pies?
"Dont you talk about my pies, like that!"
"Whatre you gonna do about it?"
"Thats it!"
Snort lunged toward Magma, hoping to wrestle him down. Though despite Snorts apparent weight advantage, Magma was definitely more experienced in wrestling, flipping Snort off him and getting behind him, locking his arms up.
"See what I mean about laying off the pies?" Magma taunted Snort.
"Raargh, my pies are not silly!" Snort shouted back, "Help me out you guys!"
"On it!" Mangle answered quickly and joined the fray, trying to wrestle Magma to the ground, though very ineffectively, unable to get Magma to budge from his position.
"Hey! Two against one aint fair," Spike said, jumping in, and holding on to one of Snorts flailing legs.
"Dude!," Snort said, "Youre supposed to be on my side."
"I like to be on the winning team." Spike replied.
Barius could only watch in curiosity as the seemingly friendly conversation turn into a wrestling match. He pondered if this was how they always acted, as he took a bite from a slice of pie. He decided to take his pie outside, for fear of getting dragged into this brawl accidentally.

"I know what youre thinkin," came a voice from Barius left as he stepped out into the evening air, "What is wrong with those guys, always got to settle things physically, can never talk things out, am I right?"
Barius still with pie in his mouth shook his head in agreement, Tell me about it.
"Im Sharp."
"Barius," he looked at his pie and offered a piece to the blue dragon.
Sharp took a piece off and sat down on the cliff balcony.
"Still, dont let that ruin your impression of them, theyre good guys."
Barius sat down next to him looking out at the mountain ranges, I can tell. I mean I wanted to only be friends with Spike so we could learn our magic together, but I have a feeling that this is a group package.
"Yep," Sharp replied, "you want one of us, you get all of us."
"So you guys have been together for how long, four or five years maybe?" Barius asked.
"More like four or five days," Sharp put emphasis on the days.
"What?" Barius was flabbergasted, "How?"
"Beats me," Sharp admitted, "By all logic, it shouldnt work, but it does, I think its Spike, the guy may be a bit in over his head sometimes, but theres something about him that makes you want to trust him and stick by him, ya know?"
"Whoa," Barius was amazed. He sat looking at the now night sky, thinking to himself if he should join this group. "Hey Sharp, do you think Ill fit in?"
"With this group, easily," Sharp smiled.
"Hey guys, whatcha up to?" Spike came walking out onto the balcony and sitting right next to Barius.
"Just looking at the stars," Barius said, "Its a nice night out tonight."
"It has been a while since Ive seen stars," Mangle said joining them.
"Its nice to finally be able to relax, and not have to worry for our lives for once," Sharp added.
Magma and Snort finally came and joined the rest, panting from their match, but side hugging, from making up after their earlier confrontation.
"Did you guys settle your differences?" Barius asked.
Snort chuckled, Magma just wanted me to make a pie for him later.
"Its my prize for beating you at wrestling." Magma stated.
"You couldve just asked though," Barius said.
"Probably more fun for Magma this way," Sharp commented.
Everyone had a good laugh at Magmas expense, though he didnt mind too much, he was getting more pie later.
From the doorway the larger white dragon looked on contentedly. She saw the six dragons on the cliff bonding, her own shut-in son among them, and felt a sense of peace that he finally found somewhere to fit in.
