Derpy was a famed tracker and bounty hunter who fought with an unorthodox street fighting style ( Kenka Kenp?). She was hired to capture Kenshiro, but after a brief conflict, she began to respect him. She often mentions keeping her "love" happy, who turns out to be his adoptive daughter, Dinky. Derpy protects her with her life and provides for her with her bounty.
She sacrifices her life to rescue Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Applebloom, when they are trapped by Jakoh, believing she owed Kenshiro a debt. After her death, Dinky gives her mother's gloves to Kenshiro, which he wears for the rest of the series (as well as in the OVA series New Fist of the North Star).
