So you may remember Alamorada,
the Mute Batpony Carpenter.
I've thought about it like this:
What non-lethal throat injury could a
Batpony carpenter get to make her mute?
Exactly. So instead I came up with a _new
Origin of her 'muteness' — She is no longer mute.
She's got a rare Batpony Condition known as…
_{THE ULTRASOUND SYNDROME!}
She can only make noises at about over 100.000 HZ,
way above a Pony's hearing — in fact only other
Batponies can hear her! So even when she's not
mute and can very well talk normally, nopony can
actually hear her besides other Batponies!
So she's STILL technically "mute", but with a
completely different, non-injury reason!
And let's be honest, it's more likely than a
critical, vocal chord ripping, non-lethal injury!
And hey, she can still speak to other Batponies normally!

And I gave Alamorada a new Scarf just for that reason too~
It's kind of to express that she can't really _talk to ponies.
Other than that it's just a cool design I guess!
