Artist's description:

In case you've been wondering why I haven't been posting as much of my Equestria dreamscape lately this is one of the reasons why. This is commission I did for skyline-twilight, it is is technically set in the Fallout Equestria universe but is sort of a prequel. The setting take place no more than a few years or so after the destruction of Canterlot. Unfortunately for all my reading and research there is no good, clear description of how Canterlot in that universe is different from the shows version, especially Celestia's Monument, and most fan art appears to steer clear of the place. However after doing some reading I found this:

"The setting sun was passing behind a tall, slender, white spire that rose up from the city, taller than the highest tower of the castle and flanked by a pair of marble wings easily three stories tall."

Fallout Equestria. Chapter 37

I decided it would be cool to make the spire look like Celestia's horn and then flank it with giant wings. Since Fallout Equestria describes the Zebra Megaspell as still leaving heavy traces or actually generating more of the Pink Mist generations after the war I imagined that just a few years after the war the spell might still be churning out great quantities of the deadly Pink Mist. So I imagined Pink Mist pouring out of the ruins of Canterlot like some deadly waterfall fog. adrift

This piece ended up being very old school for me because it is about 95% colored pencil. Except for a couple little lines of technical pen and a few dots of white gouache this all Prismacolor pencil and lots of blending with odorless mineral spirits. Image size is roughly 14"x 21" and was done on Strathmore 500 Series vellum bristol board. Also to anyone is coming to Babscon I am hoping to have a limited edition print of this in the art show. What I am uncertain about is how of it should I make? Opinions?

I also want to thank my wife Smudge for doing such a good job of tiling together several scans of this image to be combine it into the finished piece you see here.
