It was a nice calm night on the beach. The waves silently rolled in over the sand as the blue gem Lapis Lazuli and the accidental equine visitor Agua stood side by side looking out over the water.

Agua: Alright. You remember our deal. I make the tower and you have dinner with me.

Lapis: And if you dont you leave me alone. I remember. Youre not gonna do it though.

Agua: Oh just stand back and watch me.

Still confident his efforts would be for not, Lapis stepped back with a smirk and gestured for him to proceed. A smirk of his own came onto his face as he turned back to the ocean and readied his arms.

Agua: Here we go.

The waves go flat as he starts to pull his arms back. The ocean begins to funnel together in one column rising up slowly towards the sky. Lapis smirk began to falter seeing that there may be a chance that he may succeed. Aguas arms moved gracefully as he pushed the water up from its place on the earth. However, not even halfway there, the gem of water could see that the stallion was starting to struggle. His grunts and pauses in his movements clearly showed it.

Lapis: Looks like youre having a bit of trouble.

Agua: Grrrrrggggnope..I got it.

Lapis: just give it up, Agua. Youre not gonna be able to do it.

Agua: Y-yes..I will

Lapis: Why are you so fixated on taking me to dinner anyway? Am I seriously supposed to believe that you want to treat me differently than any other girl youve gone out with before?

Agua: YES! YES YOU ARE! I REALLY LIKE YOU OKAY! I FEEL LIKE SOME STUPID KID WITH A CRUSH WHEN I LOOK AT YOU!

Lapis:..really?

Agua:.y-y-yes..jeez this is heavy..

Talking was probably not the best idea. His knees buckled and one planted to the sand. Lapis rushed over putting a hand on his shoulder.

Lapis: Okay Agua thats enough! Youre going to hurt yourself!

Agua: No! I can do this!

He was starting to believe it less and less as his strength began to flood away. Right now would have been a very great time for a boost. Waita boost. Thats it! He shut his eyes and visions of home began to enter his mind. He saw his friends, his siblings, and the mare he was partnered with. Even with the dimensional boundaries blocking him from home, Rarity was always with him.

Lapis eyes squinted as a bright light began to shine from an unknown place. She looked down and saw that the light was coming from Aguas eyes and the two marks on his hips. Like it was nothing at all, the stallion stood back up and looked back to the ocean, power flooding into him like a river. The water of the ocean all flowed away from the coast and like perfection, formed the tower similar to what Lapis had done not too long ago. A hand went up to her mouth in shock.

Lapis: I cant believe ithe actually did it.

A few seconds later, the glowing stopped and Aguas hold on the ocean released. Exhausted, he turned around to face Lapis and fell to his knees in the process. Lapis joined him checking him to see if he was ok genuinely concerned.

Lapis: Agua..that was amazing..I mean sure I did it no problem but to see someone else do it too.

Agua: Thanks.

Lapis: I guessIll see you at dinner then.

Agua smiled, determined to make it a pleasant experience for her.
