Derpy through the ages. Fandoms always love to make the dummy characters secret geniuses (e.g. Cirno does math in base 9), so I thought Id put my own spin on it. Honestly, I should have put a little more work into panel 2. My other idea was to have Twilight looking through a photo albumwhere every picture was of her reading a book (I sure have changed a lot over the years, huh Spike?). Buuuut I draw enough Twi already. The punchline here is the Japanese equivalent of a double-take.
