So I got sick this week and on a whim started thinking of some of my old My Little Pony: Next Gen characters and well… this is becoming a thing now, add it to my ever growing list of reasons I'm always drawing! (these designs might be changed a bit later on but for now they are final!)

Here we have Pinkie Pie and Doctor Whooves' daughters! Specifically, 11th Doctor Whooves… or as I like to call him when he isn't on adventures: Quartz Clock! (Doctor Quartz/Doctor 'Q' or Clock-y (for Pinkie Pie only) for short!) Though, perhaps, Merrie Melody is the 10th Doctor's daughter… somehow. Or perhaps she's just picked up traits of his last incarnation!

Pinkie and the Doctor have a normal, almost boring looking (but not quite), cottage in Ponyville that's bigger-on-the-inside and has a cellar where the TARDIS lay unused (or… mostly unused) while they raised their girls. When Raspberry and Merrie are old enough, they begin travelling and educating the girls on the wonders of the universe, though making sure they get them back for school.

I almost wasn't going to use this pairing for my Next Gen Universe even though I had them in mind in the past because I wasn't sure if I was going to be using the actual Doctor Who mythos in it but it's pretty background for a long time (for obvious reasons of: 'they're currently raising children') so I decided to use them! Pinkie Pie has always seemed like the My Little Pony version of River Song to me so she's his wife! (and she also shares other similarities…) Anyway!

Special talent: Baking, her specialty being fancy and delicious jam filled cookies and pastries.
Nickname(s): Razzy, Razzaroo, Jammie (Dodger), Berry and Cookie (only her sister and parents)
Age: about 18 — 22 years old, though no one can tell exactly for certain.

Personality/Background: Raspberry Jamboree is everything you'd imagine the daughter of Ponyville's Party Pony and Quirky Clockmaker to be: joyful, friendly, off the walls with energy, always ready for a fun adventure or a party, absolutely obsessed with sweets, intelligent (though a bit ditzy in behavior) and always five steps ahead of everypony, for good and for bad. She's just can't help sticking her muzzle into trouble, another trait she picked up from mom and dad!

Razzy's the apprentice baker of Sugarcube Corner and she couldn't be happier with her bosses/aunt & uncle and they adore her… even if they wish that she wouldn't occasionally snack on the merchandise. She has her mother's Pinkie Sense and her mother & father's time senses— she one day wishes to create a treat that is as delicious as the way time tastes in the air…

Yes, she is a ray of sunshine in Ponyville and beams joy and laughter into Ponyville as expected! … Most of the time… (you'd do well not to mess with her little sister, her friends, her family or her town. She can be angry, unforgiving and very, very cold… almost like a storm…)

Merrie Melody
"Now, how's this for a opening: Fillies and Gentlecolts, ponies from all trots of life, I present: the Mistress of Music, the Perspicacious Poetess, the Wonderful Wordsmith, the best choice for your Class President: Merrie Melody! … Too much?"

Nickname(s): Mel, Melody, Merry
Age: 11 — 12 years old (just a bit older than the CMC in the show)

Personality/Background: Merry would describe herself as: intelligent, perceptive, fun-loving, a natural leader… and probably a bunch of other big, flowery words to say she's incredible. She's not wrong but she's probably conveniently leaving out some stuff, like 'bossy', 'overly-serious' and 'vain'. She means well though, and she's a cheery and friendly filly, despite her tendency to hole up in her home writing and reading for days.

She's very book-smart but extremely naive and trusting, leaving her sister to be a quiet guardian— protecting her from any who would mess with her. She's a songbird in the schoolyard and will often be gently chided for her constant humming in class. She also is occasionally caught creating poems instead of focusing on math lessons.

She has a fondness for clowns and, though except on Nightmare Night, she wouldn't be caught being one herself, she does often watch her Uncle Ponyacci teaching his students and she even gets private juggling lessons after hours.

She has a hidden streak of adventure and recklessness in her and one day longs to see and do what her parents and sister do, so much so that she could one day end up being careless and costing herself… (if you're asking: wait… is she supposed to be…? the answer is yes. well if you're thinking she's Mayor Mare, then yes. otherwise, no.)
