Starlight was trapped in the cave for weeks, unable to find her way out, she was convinced that she would perish in the dark gloomy wetness of the cave. She was shocked to find a cloud of bright lights heading towards her, convinced that it was either a hallucination or the return of the Mane 6, instead they were revealed to be fireflies. Treehugger had followed the 'negative vibes' of the 'upset' fungi and moss in the cave to discover the source of the vibes. She rescued Starlight Glimmer, although Starlight was not as enthusiastic about it. They spent almost a week together as Treehugger lead the way out, asking about Starlight's home led to a discussion of equality and Treehugger's own home. Starlight and Treezie found themselves not to be all that different, at least a little. They both believed in equality, but they had a different idea about the methods. Since Starlight no longer had a home, Treehugger invited her to stay at the commune that she lived in, and suggested to try and see their point of view on equality. Starlight was not entirely popular with the other hippies, but eventually she became part of their community, if a little estranged and mistrusted. She found that even though they were weird and strange, they were living in a kind of equality that she hadn't seen before. Treehugger and Starlight are not married, as the commune promotes free love, but they are monogamous and have had eight children, taking turns bearing the child.
