A final doodle before 2015 is done with.

This is one of my stupid ideas for Changelings. Perhaps there are many different classes of specialised Changelings for many different tasks, in this case the gathering of actionable intelligence. Of course a Changeling such as this one isn't just born; an embryo is genetically manipulated and painstakingly engineered to create such a beasty.

This is a "Listener" Changeling. She sits, stands, and/or hangs in a position, extending her long, fuzzy, semi-flexible antennae and just listens. She is covered in photophores, and while she can't change into someone else, she can vanish before your very eyes. Her eyes can see into the infrared and ultraviolet spectrums. Her exoskeletal plates make her invulnerable to all but the best placed and highest level magic attacks. The low metabolic rate of these creatures means they can subsist on a few thousand calories a month, allowing them to sit and soak up huge amounts of information.

"Listeners" are notoriously difficult to detect and eliminate because of their enhanced sensory abilities. They present an inestimable danger to Equestria and its citizens. Thankfully "Listeners" are difficult to engineer, and this means that they represent less than .01% of the Changeling population.
