"Seriously though, I think this movie is too big for me.

Personally, I love the concept. It’s really unique, striking, and quite memorable. It’s one of those films that keeps you thinking while and after you’re done watching it.

However, and personally for me, it touches upon many heavy subjects that hit too close to home. The fragility of life, its meaning, how to cope with death, and how one can prepare for it when it comes. It’s very heavy, especially for a film that’s basically two people playing chess.

Give it a watch if you’re feeling philosophical, or if you want to see what some critics would call art in motion, but if you’re gloomy or a bit down definitely skip it. It won’t cheer you up much.

And now, if you'll excuse me, I’m going to claim my cinema back, and do some cleaning. Things have been crazy around here lately."

Of course Death always dreaded these moments because he could never remember how the knight was supposed to move.
