So there I was in the CCG room at the Double Tree teaching my friend how to play the game. Someone comes up to me dressed as Sunset Shimmer and I recognize them from the cosplay contest at last year's Everfree as being a member of the con staff. Sunset asked "Do you have your Randolph cosplay with you?" I said yes. The only reason I wasn't in it and clowning around was because my room check-in was delayed by several hours. "Diamond Tiara's voice actor wants to meet you with it on."

Apparently Sunset showed Chantal Strand a YouTube video clip of my appearance at last year's cosplay contest and Chantal loved it.

I went to check if my room was ready. I didn't want to change in a restroom but I would if I had to… and I HAD TO! Fortunately it was ready but I had left a piece of luggage downstairs where a lot of the components of my cosplay were kept. LOng story short, I missed her. U.U

On Saturday I got in line for a pair of autographs from her. I was first. People asked me if I wanted to set my tray down (with my DT plushie on it) but I wouldn't hear of it. I was happy to wait 30 minutes holding DT.

Miss Strand confirmed what Sunset had said earlier. She had indeed been waiting to see me and she had our picture taken by her assistant. I wonder if she'll tweet it.

Mrs.Strand was also there. "Mom, look at this," said Miss Strand as she showed the 3D paper framed Diamond Tiara art I bought from the vendors hall to get signed by Miss Strand.

I did have the wherewithall to ask one question — which probably had an obvious answer but I wanted to hear i frm her anyway: Yes; the scream she performed in Crusaders of the Lost Mark hurt her voice to produce.

I gave Miss Strand and Miss Chan-Kent a Twilight bar and Miss Chan-Kent got a neat little gift: a cosplay Silver Spoon blue bead necklace — which she said she loved.
