According to Plan for Lady Tirek
Lady Tirek has finally obtained all unicorn, pegasus, and earth pony magic. Twivine was too late to save them. It's what she has feared since the haunting of her past. Lady Tirek plans on taking the alicorn magic from Twilight, Cadance, Luna, and Celestia. This is where Twivine Sparkle stops her.
