Artist's notes:

Twilight Twinkle is Twilight Sparkle's grandmother from her mother's side. She was born and lived in Canterlot with her family. They weren't poor, but they didn't had much money, and that's why Twinkle always dreamed big, so she could help her family. She went to Celestia's School of Magic (formely known as Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns) to study and got her cutie mark in magical talents in the process. One day, a magician went to town and they fell in love with each other. She went along with him, helping with tricks that required a lot of real magic. Once they got enough money, they went back to Canterlot, helped her family and started to make one of their own. They bought a house and soon had twin daughters: Twilight Velvet and Twilight Star.


This drawing was made both traditionally and digitally. The sketch and lineart were made on paper and the coloring and shading were made with Sketchbook Express for Android.
