War. War never changes.

So let's just get this out of the way: I am aware of Fallout: Equestria, in the sense that it's a MLP/Fallout crossover and the mare in the pic here is the main character, and that's pretty much all I know. I have not read a single sentence of the actual fic(s). Not because I object to them, but because they're so big that I just don't have the time.

But I did have the time to make this render!

I'm not really sure why I decided to do a render of Little Pip, but here she is. This was pretty straightforward, just putting her head on top of a model of Nora (Fallout 4's female PC) and recoloring the hands. I also gave her a Pip Boy as well as two weapons that from my understanding come from FO:E.

Joining her are Dogmeat, Piper, and Nick Valentine. All of them Fallout 4 models that have been ported to SFM. I mean, come on, I don't know of any chars from FO:E besides Little Pip, so I had to include them (also cause Nick is awesome).

This is actually a scenebuild of several Vault 111 hallway props. It was tricky to get them to line up just right, but the end result is impressive. I mean, wow, talk about detail!

The hardest part was the lighting. I wanted to get a lighting setup that felt atmospheric, but also properly lighted the subjects of the picture. The end result was a setup that featured 6 lights (SFM can support a maximum of 8) along with having to manually edit the illumination dags of all the models in the scene so they weren't being lit by the default lights of the level I rendered this on. I also went back and forth with the ambient occlusion and depth of field, ultimately going with subtle instead of dramatic.

Overall, very pleased with how this came out.

Maybe I should go read this story now.
