And inspiration struck! I designed another side character.

This is Lights Out, she’s 40 years old, and has seen some shit. She’s also as tall as the average stallion, and as you can see, built like a tank. She tries to be as unimposing as she can and despite her looks she’s actually quite gentle and sweet, unless you find out first hand why she’s no longer part of a special task division of the night guard.

Currently she works as a royal messenger for Princess Luna, one of several. Though unlike Celestia’s personal messengers Luna’s are also still expected to be combat ready at a moment’s notice.

She is bisexual, and married to another mare. It’s not exclusive however, so she’s free to sleep with who she wants, and sometimes whoever is brave enough to approach her.
