Anon: Have you figured out your new work schedule yet? I'm curious as I'm trying to figure out when you'll do these now.

FicFic: Yup. I work mornings and get out around noon. Or at least I'm supposed to. It all depends how busy it is at the bakery and if we have any special orders etc.

Anon: Way back during the flashback Venator wanted to take us with him back to the castle. What would've happen if we hadn't convinced him not to?

FicFic: You would have found out Venator's fate early.

Anon: Is there a way to contact Order of Arrow without it biting us in the butt for doing so? Also what was the inspiration for the Order of Arrow?

FicFic: Depends on how you handle it. If you want a hint, someone compared The Order of the Arrow to the Ordo Hereticus. I think that is an apt comparison.

Anon: Are both Venator and Alcaris savable? Or is it a lost cause at this point.

FicFic: No comment.

Anon: Is there a reason Joy has a mantle vs a bag? Or did you just come up with the mantle for whimsical reasons.

FicFic: Because I didn't want to draw a bag on Joyride.

Anon: So how far in advance did you plan on Cloaky being LS? It was very clever of you to set him up like that.

FicFic: Yup. I had that in mind since back then.

Anon: Well that was a fairly clever setup then.

Anon: So what art tools and program do you use? What did you first start on? And what's some advice in how to improve?

FicFic: Photoshop. Practice makes perfect.

Anon: In the part of the village where we were snooping around in the basement of the church we had an impulse to knock on the coffin,(if I remember correctly) would things of went for the better if we would of met Greg first?

FicFic: It may have. It may not have. It all depends on how you handled being interrogated by Greg and Lord Sepulcher.

Anon: So what do you feel has been your best drawing for this cyoa so far and your worst?

FicFic: I like most of my thread starters. As for worst, probably the drunk ones.

FicFic: No references. I'm actually really sad I didn't finish it.

Anon: Can Emerald remove his amulet If he wills it?

FicFic: You can try it sometime and see what happens.

Anon: Well he's done it before, I just don't know if he can will it to stay off. I would think since he did while he was with his step parents, he can control something like that. But I feel like with what else has happened in the CYOA has been contrary to that being completely true. I'm mostly asking cause that would be a temporary solution to magic not affecting him.

FicFic: I set very specific rules for the amulet. If it seems like it's contrary then there is something you don't quite understand about the amulet. Like I said, feel free to experiment with it. It's not like something bad could happen…

Anon: Is there ever gonna be an explanation for how he used that to make a potion? Especially since Joy said it shouldn't of worked at all. I guess if I had to go off what I remember, I don't know if we ever tried to will it off any time after the flashback with the step parents.

FicFic: Sure. Like I said there are rules for the amulet.

Anon: How corrupted is Emerald's soul? What's going to happen if the corruption becomes 100%? Is there a way to stave it off?

FicFic: It all depends on you guys.

Anon: So has there ever been a post that you had to rewrite or redraw because of change of what the players wanted or something that was so good that was suggested you had to do it?

FicFic: First part yes, second part no. I always try my best to go with the consensus. That's not to say I do what the consensus wants absolutely literally. I may alter the events slightly to include a clever or funny bit of another suggestion. In fact, if I see the consensus I usually start drawing and don't look back to the comments again until after I finish. This is why I wait 30+ minutes sometime to finish an update. I want to make sure I don't leave anyone out. That and I'm lazy.

Anon: So how much of Warhammer has influenced this cyoa?

FicFic: Yes, along with Warmachine and also lewd fantasy stuff, particularly CoC.

Anon: I've been on this board for years, and Warhammer has always been popular/discussed here, and I still have no idea what the it is and why it's so great.

FicFic: I always liked RPG and tabletop games. I buy core rule books for a bunch of different things just to read them. I have a lot of DnD books. Edition 2 and 3-3.5 are the best for that kind of thing. I don't know why but from then on the rule books get really boring. I'm a real lore hound, and that's what got me into 40k even though I've never played it. Right now I"m reading the core book for Kings of War. It's pretty good too and seems a lot like Warhammer Fantasy.

Anon: One more question from me, what in blazes are we gonna do after we get that potion made for Joy? Is she gonna come up with something then, or are is it gonna be up to us?

FicFic: I have plans.

Anon: That sounds ominous for some reason. I look forward to it!

Anon: How many bad ends did we potentially unlock bringing Pip with us? On the flipside how many bad ends this prevents by bringing a fire demon with us?

FicFic: Every decision closes some doors and opens others.

Anon: So what was in the other rooms in LS's tower? Like the cage room or whatever that construct was guarding. Why did we have such a hard time finding joy and LS? Were they simply moving from room to room and we were just unlucky?

FicFic: They were always in the weapon room. Frankly, I thought that'd be the first place you guys would go and I thought you were going to miss a lot. If you had broken any of the jars or opened the big ones you would have seen something akin to the zombie bad end. A monster of flesh and steel. The construct was guarding a room that Sepulcher used for his necromancy. Essentially I was trying to create a necromancer that combined zombies with robots. That's why the squid and Lady Elegance had so much on them.

Anon: So if the cyborg zombies were in the Jar room what was in the cage room?

FicFic: Experiments and chimeras.

Anon: That just makes me that much more glad we never messed with them. And people whine that we don't take enough risks, pfft.

Anon: Thought about adding/ponyfing any D&D monsters to the cyoa?

FicFic: I've done a few Warmachine ones. Sort of. More like cheap knock off's of Warmachine monsters. Bad End Emerald is essentially a Mechanithrall.

Anon: I'm honestly confused about what colors to go with for Sunshine, the concensus wasn't too clear, should I just do a bunch of possible colorschemes?

FicFic: I don't know, but the initial one I had doesn't seem to good to me now… Maybe something more along the lines of Trixie or Tracy Cage.

Anon: Do you have a character in the CYOA that you feel best represents you? In terms of personality or looks, or anything that reminds them of you.

FicFic: Nope. I purposefully try not to self insert when I do these things. Though I didn't do it intentionally, the whole trap thing ended up being sort of magical realmy.

Anon: Do you have any wips or scarps of things you drew for this cyoa but didn't use? Could we see some of it?

FicFic: I actually thought i did have some WIP/unused stuff, but when I looked through my CQ folder I couldn't find any. Sorry bro, would have showed it if I had it.

Anon: So would it be possible to body mod emerald? Like if he wanted a bigger butt? or more muscle mass?

Anon: Partly related but I wanna look into potions that could enhance our shittier stats like Will and Body. Presumably it'd be temporary, but def worth looking into. Maybe we could even get one that'd enhance it permanently. Going full RPG here.

Anon: Is it possible to visit the other worlds Joy mentioned?

FicFic: These are possibilities, yes. Nothing is without consequence though.

Anon: Not everything has to have a drawback Fic, jeez. At least not a major drawback.

Anon: Some of us on the general thread were speculating of what would happen if all the QM's took over each other' quests. Like as a non-canon thing. I doubt something like that would happen, but what cyoa would you like to take over and who would you like to take over yours?

FicFic: That actually sounds like a really fun thing to do, like for a thread to take someone else's CYOA and have a sort of non-canon thing. …If only I knew much abott other people's CYOAs…
