Victor is an engineer pony but never got his cutie mark in it despite him being very good at it. However, he did get his cutie mark from resolving the crisis his parents were going through, the crisis which led to them nearly seperating. His cutie mark appears to combine the two talents, and, since Victor is rather confident, he proudly boasts that he's an engineer and is good at restoring relationships whenever asked about his mark.
Unlike the rest of my characters, Victor isn't a part of the circus and was never approached by Steamboat. But he has encountered the strange earth pony many times, each time ending in Victor either running away in fear or the other pony simply vanishing seemingly into thin air. Victor always tried to tell others about these experiences but, of course, no one believed that an extremely tall earth pony with one blind eye and mechanical limbs could ever do that. Thus, Victor simply stopped trying to convince them. It didn't help that he sometimes lied to get his own way. Not much, but enough for some ponies to wonder if he's telling the truth or not.
